On the palate the wine has beautiful freshness, intensity, and structure, with a rocky mineral presence. Aged for 18 months in 100% French oak, 30% new.

A lovely balancing act between fruit and savory, with pungent notes of dark cherry, blackberry, and black plum skin, alongside the more quintessential savory notes of merlot with thyme, sage, cracked pepper, bay leaf, cigar box, and hints of vanilla bean coming from the oak, aged for 22 months in 100% French oak, 40% new oak. The palate is supple and approachable, yet bold and full bodied.
